Important Health Guide

Health Guide
Oxygen-The Basic Health Provider
The air we breath is a mixture of gases that surround the earth. Keeping the earth's surface at a temperature that supports life, these layers of air are primarily made of nitrogen (78%) and oxygen (21%), along with water vapor (0-3%), small quantities of argon and carbon dioxide, as well as very small particles, such as aerosols and dust.
Importance of Oxygen
The breath of life, oxygen is a tasteless, colorless and odorless gas that plays an important role in maintaining good health. However, not everyone is aware of this.
Thorn Valentine, author of "Medicine's Missing Link", says, "It would be interesting to compare the amount of oxygen in a strong, healthy person with the amount in a chronically ill individual." A person can live for perhaps months without food, perhaps several days to a week without water, but within a short period of impeded breathing, irreversible damage could occur to brain cells. This is because cells deprived of oxygen simply cannot sustain normal metabolic functions.
In short, oxygen is the fuel for all mechanism processes in human physiology. It sustains basic metabolic functions such as: cellular metabolism, respiration, homeostasis, neutralization, digestions, nutriens absorption, detoxification, energy generation, enzymatic reactions, the list goes on.
